Nancy, is a beacon of strength and inspiration. In 2002, Nancy faced the daunting diagnosis of HIV and AIDS, which initially plunged her into a life that felt like hell. The discrimination surrounding her condition led her people to distance themselves, refusing even to share basic necessities like plates and cups.

With a CD4 count of only 0.5, (The normal range for women is between 500 to 1500 cells/mm3). Nancy found herself in Mogalakwena Goerge Masebe Hospital, close to the edge of hopelessness. A turning point came when a compassionate sister urged her to embrace life outside the hospital walls and never return. Determined to overcome the mental and emotional turmoil caused by her divorce after revealing her HIV-positive status, Nancy emerged from the with a newfound strength.

Nancy, now proudly bearing the title of an HIV ambassador, transformed her life through acceptance, exercise, and a balanced diet rich in vegetables and fruits. Rejecting the notion that being HIV positive is a life sentence, she discovered a purpose greater than herself – her three children.

Nancy’s journey is a testament to her confidence, self-love, and the transformative power of embracing one’s true self. She stands tall as a symbol of strength and hope for others facing similar battles.
